Questions, answered.

Where are my credentials stored?

On your computer, encrypted with your operating system's secure storage: Keychain on macOS, DPAPI on Windows, libsecret on Linux. They're never stored in plain text.

Does my usage history leave my machine?

No. History lives in a local database on each device. Only your list of provider connections syncs to your Vale account, so desktop and Android see the same accounts.

Which platforms does Vale run on?

The desktop app runs on Windows, macOS (Apple silicon and Intel), and Linux (AppImage or .deb). Vale for Android is a companion app for Android 11 and newer. There is no iOS app yet.

How does the free trial work?

Power is free for 15 days with every feature unlocked and no card required. Each Vale account gets one trial. When it ends you drop back to Free and keep 5 active accounts.

Which providers are supported?

Claude, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Antigravity, Windsurf, Zed, Devin, Kimi, OpenRouter and z.ai, with new ones added regularly. See Providers for how each one connects.

What does the browser extension do?

It is a credential connector. When you are already signed in to a provider in the browser, it sends that session to the Vale app on localhost so you do not have to paste tokens by hand. Learn more.

Do I need an account?

Yes. Sign in with your email using a 6-digit code or magic link. There is no guest mode. Your account is what lets your connections follow you to other computers and your phone.

Can I pay in Egyptian pounds?

Yes. Vale uses Paymob for customers in Egypt and Stripe everywhere else. It picks automatically, and you can switch in Settings → Billing.

How do I cancel?

From Settings → Billing in the app. Power stays active until the end of the period you paid for. See Refunds & cancellation.

Never get cut off mid-prompt again.
