Billing

Manage your Vale subscription from the desktop app. Checkout uses Stripe or Paymob depending on your Payment Provider preference (Auto routes by region). See plans and compare features on Pricing. Get the app from the Download page.

Free accounts can use up to 5 active accounts (provider connections). Hitting the limit opens Billing so you can try Power or subscribe.

Start a trial

Sign in to your Vale account, then open Settings → Billing and choose Try Power. New accounts can try Power for 15 days with no card required (one trial per email). The trial is owned by Vale — it does not open Stripe or Paymob checkout. When the trial ends, the app returns to Free unless you subscribe.

Payment Provider

Under Settings → Billing → Payment Provider, choose how paid checkout runs:

  • Auto — routes by your current region (for example Egypt → Paymob; otherwise Stripe).
  • Stripe — always use Stripe Checkout.
  • Paymob — always use Paymob checkout when available.

Changing preference while you already have an active paid subscription applies to the next subscribe — cancel, update payment, and invoices stay with your current processor.

Subscribe and checkout

From Settings → Billing, choose a Power plan to open checkout with your selected payment provider. Stripe charges in USD ($6.99/mo or $59.99/yr); Paymob charges in EGP (EGP 349/mo or EGP 2,999/yr). See Pricing for both currencies. After payment, Power unlocks in the app. If features stay locked, use Refresh status (below).

Manage subscription

Plan status, upgrade, invoices, update payment, and cancellation live under Settings → Billing (Account is sign-in / identity only). Paid Power shows actions to update your payment method, view invoices, or cancel — routed to Stripe or Paymob based on how you subscribed. Lifetime complimentary grants (if issued) show as Power without a payment-provider subscription.

Renewals, failed payments, and grace

Subscriptions renew automatically with the processor you subscribed through. Paymob renewals charge your saved card and each captured charge gets an invoice for the amount actually charged. Stripe renewals follow your Stripe subscription.

  • Payment failed — Power stays active for a 7-day grace period while the charge is retried. Vale emails you the next retry date; the in-app Billing card shows a payment-needed state.
  • Grace ends — if no retry succeeds, the account returns to Free and extra connections beyond the Free cap are disabled (oldest five stay enabled).
  • Trials — end exactly at the trial end date; there is no grace period on a trial.
  • Switching processors — subscribing again through the other processor cancels the old subscription first; your previous order history stays visible in invoices.

Deleting your account cancels any active Paymob or Stripe subscription. A daily reconciliation job catches missed webhooks, so entitlement catches up even if the checkout return never reached the app.

Refresh status

Use Refresh status on Billing if Power features stay locked after checkout or trial start. That re-syncs entitlement from the server without restarting the app.

Billing on Android

Settings → Billing in Vale for Android shows your membership card, current cycle, plan details, and the 12 newest invoices. Upgrading, updating a payment method, and cancelling happen in the desktop app — the phone points you there.
