Getting Started

Download Vale, sign in with your email, connect your first provider, and pair the Android companion.

Get access

  1. Download Vale from the Download page.
  2. Vale runs on Windows, macOS (Apple silicon and Intel), and Linux (AppImage or .deb), and updates itself in place.

First launch

  1. Open Vale. Sign in with email on the Join or sign in screen — Vale emails a 6-digit one-time code (and a magic link). There is no guest / skip-sign-in mode.
  2. Enter the code (you can paste it straight from the email) or open the magic link. After sign-in you land on the Dashboard. Provider connections sync with your Vale account; usage history stays in local SQLite on this device.
  3. Open Settings → Providers → Add Provider, or use the Import from this device menu next to it when Vale has detected a signed-in app or CLI (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Zed, GitHub CLI, and more).
  4. Pick a provider. Prefer Import or a sign-in button (Sign in with GitHub, Sign in with Kimi, Continue with Google for Antigravity) when shown, then the Browser Extension. Antigravity is not connected through the extension.
  5. Or enter credentials manually, then test the connection and save.

What you’ll see

  • Dashboard — balances, quotas, and status for each connected account. Open a card for the details view, where you can pin up to two metrics onto the card, edit or remove the connection, and see reset timers and credit expiry. Cards keep their last reading when you go offline.
  • Usage — how much of each limit you used per day, week, month, or year (history stays on disk). See Usage.
  • Activity — chronological feed of alerts and connection events. Alerts fire once per outage and only when a limit actually changes.
  • Settings — General, Account, Providers, History retention and digest, Notifications, Billing, and About.
  • Sidebar account menu — Profile (opens Settings → Account), Settings, keyboard shortcuts, and sign out. Plan and billing live under Settings → Billing.

Add your phone

Install Vale for Android (Android 11 or newer) and sign in with the same email. Every provider you connect on desktop appears on the phone automatically, with its own refresh schedule and system notifications. Providers are added, edited, and removed on desktop; billing changes happen on desktop too. Details in Vale for Android.
